CC stabilization with suspension technique under arthroscopic assistance
Abstract
We set the patient on the beach chair position
First, we created three portal on the shoulder.
(Posterior, anterior and lateral trans cuff portal)
Arthroscopic examination was performed via posterior portal and then using lateral trans cuff portal for viewing, anterior portal for working.
Cleaned soft tissue around rotator cuff interval was performed until clearly seen under surface coracoid process.
Tip of ACL jig was applied at the under surface of coracoid process via anterior portal then drill guide of ACL jig was inserted and touched on the upper surface of proximal fragment of fracture site until reduced position and displaced fracture was accepted under fluoroscope.
2.0 K-wire was drilled from clavicle to under surface of coracoid process via the drill guide.
3.5 mm drill bit was drilled at the same track hole after 2.0 k-wire was removed.
The passing suture loop was inserted and passed through the track hole for initiating the adjustable loop suspension button.
The adjustable loop button was sitting on the outer cortex of clavicle, then we put another button on the under surface of coracoid process with the loop.
We tried to hoist the sutures until tighten and fluoroscopy was checked.
